Meet your doctor: Rami Layous, DC

Dr. Rami Layous completed his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the University of Western States in 2019. He opened the first Back N’ Line Chiropractic and Wellness location in downtown Lake Oswego in August of the following year. But his chiropractic journey started much, much earlier. When he was 23 years old, Dr. Rami experienced a workout injury that made him struggle with chronic lower back pain for years.

Although he found relief from taking prescribed medication, such as painkillers and muscle relaxants, the relief was only temporary. They could not address the real issue. Dr. Rami began taking an interest in chiropractic medicine in 2007 after a car accident caused him further pain. The incident also limited his movements during exercise and daily activities. While he had a medical background in dentistry, having earned his dental degree in his native Syria, his firsthand experience with the benefits of chiropractic treatment fascinated him.

Dr. Rami has spent years researching natural healthcare and overall wellness.

What he learned inspired him to shift directions and pursue a new career in chiropractic medicine. In his last year of chiropractic training, he joined missions to underprivileged areas in Mexico and El Salvador, bringing them free chiropractic care.

Today, Dr. Rami provides Corrective Care, focusing on injury recovery, chronic pain, and overall wellness. Aside from his clinical work, Dr. Rami is an active member of the Lake Oswego Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Lake Oswego, and the Lake Oswego Rotary Club. He also enjoys hiking, biking, and photography in his spare time.

Committed to our patients well being.

"I view my role as not only helping my patients in achieving recovery but also educating them on how to maintain optimal health. Maintaining a properly functioning spine and nervous system is crucial for overall well-being."

 Dr. Rami, Layous
